Make Up with Dustin Lujan – Glow On!

June 26, 2011

One thing that I think every woman needs is an amazing luminizer or glow product! When used correctly, you can literally diminish fine lines and wrinkles instantly.  Based on your skin tone you might reach for different colors or textures. If you have normal to dry skin you can use a powder luminizer or a liquid luminizer; however, if you have very dry skin, you should stick to just a liquid. The tones can range from clear to red, and even dark browns. People with light skin tones should generally stick to sheer, opal, or a light pink. People with medium tone skins can also do sheer, beige or gold. If you have dark skin you should use gold, brown or even a berry tone and people with very dark skin can use a deep gold or plum tone.

When placing your new found glow there are a few points of placement for maximum tasteful glow. First is on your orbital bone right above your cheek, the next is the bridge of your nose, and the last is lightly on the edge around the eye, right where we tend to get crows feet.  A lot of women are a little nervous about glowy skin but when placed properly you can actually reflect the light in these problem areas almost airbrushing away fine lines and giving a little lift to the face. Areas to stay away from when using glow are under the brow and directly on the apples of the cheek.  Putting it on these places can focus the glow on the wrong areas giving an artificial and overly made up look. When using a powder, use a loose pony tail brush and brush in small circles in the designated area. When using liquid glow, a large concealer brush is most affective; just tap it in the proper places and blend with your finger. This should be your very last step after all your make up is done.

I simply adore luminizers and this is the always my secret weapon for any woman who wants fresher, more youthful looking skin! So please glow on ladies!
