While the road to Emmy was paved with excitement for television nominees and presenters, what helped soothe their nerves were bags of swag worth millions of dollars. Pre-awards gifting suites are an impressive business in Tinseltown, with numerous companies hoping toget their products to well known celebrities.

Jon Voight, star of Showtime’s “Ray Donovan,” picked up his tuxedo from Art Lewin Bespoke Executive Clothiers, one of the gifting vendors at Doris Bergman’s 5th annual Pre-Emmy gift lounge. “I just finished shooting Ray Donovan this season and I have a few other film projects coming up. We were just renewed and I couldn’t be happier. This is really exciting for me, I haven’t had to wear a tux in a while! It is a big honor to be nominated. Anyone who gets an nomination knows that there are other actors who are equally deserving. I feel very fortunate. All of my cast members feel this is great attention for us all so it’s really wonderful. It’s always responsible to be prepared for anything, so I will have my acceptance speech ready just in case!”

Kate Burton, who was an Emmy nominee for ABC’s “Scandal,” was also at the suite. “Once I heard the other nominees in my category, I immediately knew Allison Janney for her role in Showtime’s Masters of Sex would win, and she did!” Burton quipped. “But to be nominated for a network show, with the preponderance of cable, I just feel so thrilled to be nominated, it’s just incredible. And had I won, I would have immediately thanked Shonda Rimes, who put me on the map with ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in a way I hadn’t been before. She changed my life as an actress. To have played both roles, which are so meaty–who can ask for anything more!”

At Bergman’s suite, attendees are asked to donate unwrapped gifts or make a monetary donation to Wednesday’s Child, which benefits children in the L.A. County foster care system in need of adoptive families. In Los Angeles County alone, there are over 30,000 children receiving child welfare services,” says social worker, William Wong.  “Gift and monetary donations to the ‘Wednesday’s Child’ Pre-Holiday Gift Drive has been overwhelming and, most importantly, the event Sponsors and celebrity guests have provided examples to follow —  giving the public permission to embrace our kids.  I believe that people are inherently good and want to do good things.”  Additionally, Bergman invited two foster children to join in on the festivities and experience what it felt like to be treated as a VIP — the love from the guests and sponsors was tremendous!” added Wong.

Brands included Telic Footwear, My Saint, My Hero, Radar Watches, Nature’s Flavors,  Twisted Silver, Perch Jewelry, Bon Bon Home & Garden, Honest Tea, Spongelle, Art Lewin Bespoke Executive Clothiers, Kaya Di Koko, Single Dress, Single Underwear, GUESS, Tequila Azul Imperial, Veved Ice Vodka, Clif Bar, Luna Bar, Intemporelle Designs, Vida Emanuel European Day Spa, Dawn Lee Cosmetics, Stacy Vason Haircare and Roadkill Boutique.

At the GBK Productions awards suite, Emmy presenter Viola Davis talked about whether her character on the new ABC series, “How To Get Away With Murder” was good or bad. “I think I will be a combination of both! I think we are all a mix of things that are honorable and kinda putrid. So I think we will see a beautiful mess, someone who is all woman!” she said. The veteran actress was really happy to receive Maxim’s queen luxury mattress, worth $3K and an  impressive $8k five day trip to Bali.

Davis can’t wait for her show to debut. “I am so excited to be part of television again. I’m kinda finding my legs in all of this. It’s been a long time since I have been on the television and I am trying to get used to the schedule and pace. But I couldn’t be part of a better family of writers, actors, crew and producers. And I will still have time to do films, take vacations, and spend time with my daughter.”

“Orange is The New Black” star Madeline Brewer had flown in from New York for her Emmy debut. “I am so thrilled, it’s my very first one. I can’t wait to go and be a part of it. I want to support not only every other show but also Orange is the New Black and be there to help represent Netflix. Netflix are my homies!”

In a few weeks, Brewer will be finding out if her latest Netflix series, “Hemlock Grove” will be picked up for a third season. “I’d like to see my character work on her PTSD. That’s definitely something she needs to deal with.”

Diane Sowers, owner of Designs By Diane, one of the jewelry designers featured at The Artisan Group’s booth, was thrilled to be a part of the event. “I’ve been an established designer of sea glass jewelry for almost 10 years and am known for my clean, contemporary designs. I’ve just recently branched out to other styles of jewelry and have recently started selling nationally, thanks to The Artisan Group.”

Ruthie Youngman, the owner and jewelry designer of LoveYourBling, a handcrafted jewelry company, also participated. “I have been a “mompreneur” creating crystal jewelry since 2008, starting as a small Etsy shop and growing my own e-commerce store.  I have recently added a few men’s accessories such as necklaces and crystal cufflinks. In searching for unique components I fell in love with Swarovski crystals and all things bling, leading me to become a verified Swarovski elements branding partner.”

GBK gives 20 percent of their profits to charity and allows four charities on-site to raise awareness of their causes. This year’s charities included the Environmental Media Association, Cops 4 Causes, Go Campaign, and animal rescue organization, Mutt Match.

Turns out Emmy winner Allison Janney is not a fan of binge television watching. “I don’t like to go through a show too quickly. I want to stretch it out to one episode a night. I know people love to do that but I get really sad when my series is over! I take as much time as possible with it.”

Elsewhere in Hollywood, Janney received products from Bose headphones, Pong iphone cases, Nambe and Lennox home items, designer sunglasses from Ferragamo, Nerium skincare, The Best of TV & Movies trivia game, Waltzing Matilda leather goods along with trips to Richmond Nua Spa/Hotel in Turkey, Bora Bora Hilton and SoCal properties LaValencia and Triada. Designed by former HGTV Design Star’s Josh Johnson, the suite offered his new home decor line of Softline pillows.

Hayden Panettiere, who shopped the Giving Suite™ during rehearsal day, stopped by again prior to the show to rest her feet on the plush carpet in the lounge designed by Josh Johnson for Softline.  During rehearsal, when she saw the Cold Stone Creamery ice cream bar, she said, “See, there is something in here for the baby!” and helped satisfy her pregnancy cravings.  Fellow mommy, Katherine Heigl, was spotted chatting with Hayden about her pregnancy.  Hayden also picked up skin care products by Nerium, Bose headphones and a Pong phone case, which helps protect against cell phone radiation.

One highlight of the Red Carpet Style Lounge was the luxury trips to be gifted to select celebrities. Special travel packages were gifted to celebrities like Lena Dunham, Michael Madsen, Michelle Dockery, Jeff Daniels, Jon Hamm and Peter Dinklage at the Secret Room events’ Red Carpet Style Lounge, which benefitted The Humane Society of the United States and Shelter Pet Project. The event also featured a “yappy hour,” with special gifts for the celebrities furry companions.

Alila Villas gifted luxury stays in ocean front villas at their Uluwatu and Soori Indonesian properties with personal butler, spa services and dining, as did ITC Hotel Maurya New Delhi India (8 nights in a Luxury Suite, airport transfers, luxury buffet breakfast, dinner each night and spa services.) Brewery Gulch Inn in Mendocino California, Travel and Leisure’s winner of World’s Best Awards 2014, gifted a two night escape in a suite with breakfast and dinner, as did Riviera Resort and Spa Palm Springs.
